Just because

Wanted to share with you my entry
for swirlydoos round robin
card challenge.
The twist were to use some stitching faux or hand,
and some strips of paper and a non scrappy item.
I used a Pepsi can tab for my non scrappy item and placed strips of paper
in my flowers and did some hand stitching.

Winter Wonderland

I have been making Christmas cards for
Swirlydoos card swap and just wanted to share with you a card
that does not have any green or red on it.
It's hard to capture all the blue's and White's.
I used Timmy's pine comb die to create the Christmas tree,
added some white puffy paint on the edges.

Mixed media

So I have been playing lately with
luminarte silk paints and modeling paste.
The paints are amazing.
I have been creating up a storm and just wanted
to share one of them with you.

Little You

Little You
Just wanted to share a lo that was made using Swirlydoos
October kit.

Yesterday

Yesterday

I used October's kit from Swirlydoos
to create this lo.
I used some gesso to tone down the paper a little, and used the brick mask
that came with the kit to create the brick work with molding paste.
I created some extra bricks with clay to stick on top of the bricks.
I dressed it out with some vines and flowers and trinkets form my stash.

Thanks for looking.

Missing You

Missing You
I made this card for the round robin card challenge at Swirlydoos.

And Guess What?????

It Won!!!!

I was completely surprised.
This was the first RRCC that swirlydoos has done.
I used prima paper that came in the September kit at swirlydoos.

Thanks for looking...

Coffin Syrup

Coffin Syrup
Warning: Consume at your own risk...
= for the sleep of a life time=

Hahahahahahah
I just love Halloween!!!

I picked this coffin up at the local scrap store for 99cents.
I lined the inside of the coffin with some textured paper.
I painted the coffin gray and used my ink pad to rub over it.
I picked up the skeleton up at the dollar store and there was 4 of them.
I used some gauze to draped over the coffin.
I then cut out some vines and dressed it with some flowers
and some pumpkins that I made with clay and painted them.
I added the picture which if you hold it at an angle it turns into a skeleton, how cool.
And I added the tag.
Just thought I would have a little fun.

Just another angle of the coffin.

Thanks for looking....

Learning my way

Just wanted to share my second card.
I again used g45 paper's love them,
I created a notebook and used it on top of my card.

here's a side view of the card,
you can see the dimension of the notebook.
Someone had said that cards are addictive and I believe them.
Thanks for looking!!!

Halloween's walk

Just wanted to share with you a card that I have created, but it's just not any card
it's my very first card, that's right my first that I have every made. LOL
I find cards very difficult to make.
I used g45 paper and I made the pumpkins out of clay and painted them.

This is the inside of the card.

and this is the back of the card.

Yes that is one chunky card, lol

Butterflies are free to fly

Summer Breeze

Summer Breeze
This is my take on "Once upon a sketch" for August challenge
I went with the theme "summer"
(my favorite season)
I rotated the lo a little so I could use the picture of my dgs and myself.
I used a lot of gesso and embossing powder and some glass beads to create the sand.
I created the banner so it would look like the banner was blowing in the wind,
I also have some hidden journaling on a pullout card to the left of the picture with the bow on it.
It reads: If you want to know how much "I Love You", count the waves..

Life's a Beach

Life's a Beach
I made this lo from a tutorial that I saw where you blend the picture
into the page using gesso and adding matte get to add texture.
Sorry I can't remember where I saw this, but I will keep looking
so I can give them credit.
Any who, thank you for the inspiration.
I used pion paper from the Grandma's schoolbook collection.
I made the seagulls from clay and I altered the flower with
gesso and ink. The fern is one I dried and inked. TFL

Frame for "Pure Love"

This is the frame that I made for this Lo.
I used a crackle effect on the frame
and I used molding paste to make the tree
and added some flowers, TFL

Here are some closesups...

All mixed up!!!

All mixed up..

Just wanted to have a little fun with mixed media.
This lo I did alot of different stuff.
I started out with some gesso and then applied some green paint
and did masking with the chicken wire. I used a textured template of the bricks
and cut them out and inked them.
I also used molding paste for the hanging light and then sanded one side off.
I finished it off with some metal flowers and some glass beads that I added some black paint to.

Thanks for looking...

Love letters from Paris

Altered wood box

Beach this waaay

Over at swirlydoos, there was a card challenge
to create a beach theme card using blues, greens and brown.
Well, I didn't create a card instead  I created a 8x10 canvas.
I inked my canvas with blues, greens and white.
I used brown on my netting.
I created the flowers and added some shells.
And the photo is of my DGS and his mommy.

He thinks there just fish'in

This is a layout of
my Son and my Grandson.
This was my GS's first fish and there
was no way that he was going to touch it. LOL

Altered Mouse Trap 3

Altered Mouse Trap 3
There are so many different things that you can do to these things,
I am really having a ball playing with these mouse traps.
Who would of thought that you could play with a mouse trap and have fun?
This is the third one that I have done, and it is my favorite.
I used gel medium on it and it took forever for it to dry,
so 2 days later I got to play with it.
I used glimmer mist , blues and greens to mist it.
I used a stamp to stamp black ink in different spots.
I then embossed it with UTEE and WOW, it looks just like ceramic.
I was like I am liking this. (LOL)
I then used all metal parts on it and altered some of them with alcohol ink.
And I used a black flower that I used liquid pearls on.
This one had to have extra magnets on it, it was kinda heavy

Hope you have enjoyed the Mouse Traps, And Thanks for looking....

Altered Mouse Trap 2

Altered Mouse Trap 2
More Fun with these mouse traps.
My dgs painted this mouse trap.
He had blue, red, green, yellow and purple paint.
When he was done painting it, it was totally red. (LOL)
I asked him if he wanted to give it to his mommy for mother's day.
And he said yes, so I told him that maw-maw would finish it for him.
So this is what I did.
I dripped some white paint on it and misted it with some blue glimmer mist.
I stamped some circles with black ink.
I embossed it with UTEE and it was looking good, look just like stain glass.
Again the flower base is metal and I used alcohol ink to color it and the leaves.
I topped it off with a flower that I made.
Added some bling.
And there you have it , a gorgeous Mother's Day gift.

Altered Mouse Trap 1

Altered Mouse Trap 1
I have really enjoyed playing with these mouse traps.
First, I stained the mouse trap with vintage photo stain.
Second, I embossed it with distress mustard seed.
Then I stamped it with black ink, Oh this feels so gritty.
The flower bases are metal and I used alcohol inks to color them,
And I added some flowers to top them off.
I added some bling and some gauze.
And there you have it an amazing
Mouse Trap
